5K Run/Walk Check in

The Family Weekend 5K Run is the best way to take in the beautiful sights and scenery of the Florida State University campus. Perfect for walkers and runners of all ages, skill levels, and abilities, each 5K participant will receive a cooling towel.

Before the tailgating begins, come start your day with fresh air and great exercise!

After the tabulation and verification of race results, plaques will be presented to the first, second, and third finishers in each Age Group.

Day of registration is welcomed but will not be able to win in the timed competition. Thank you for your participation and GOOD LUCK!

The Student Union Art Center's Paint-A-Pot program is a popular pastime that anyone can enjoy. Choose from a variety of pre-made ceramic pieces starting at just $1. Paint your piece, return it to be fired and come back to pick it up. No pre-registration needed, stop in and create something great today!

Paint-A-Pot pricing includes glaze, clear coat firing, unlimited paint time, and relaxing space for a fun experience for all ages and artistic abilities. Ask our staff for tips and tricks if you need a little extra inspiration, they’re always willing to help.

Museum of Fine Arts (MoFA) Guided Tour (Free)

MoFA connects Florida State University and the broader community to the arts, maintaining a permanent collection of over 6000 objects. The museum presents exhibitions of historical and contemporary artworks that contribute meaningfully to the scholarship and conversations that sustain the civic and intellectual life of our campus, city, and region. MoFA has a history of exciting exhibitions—from lush painting to dynamic sculpture, from challenging installations to provocative photography.

Exhibits during Family Weekend include Boundless Terrain, Shape Shifting: 35 Years of Late Modernist Prints, and It’s A Lot Like Falling in Love: Legacies of Naiad Press in the Tallahassee Lesbian Community.
