Heritage Museum at Dodd Hall (Free)

Located in the Werkmeister Reading Room in Dodd Hall, the Heritage Museum displays photographs, ephemera, and artifacts that document the history of FSU. Students, alumni, and the general public are encouraged to visit this beautiful space and learn more about the history of Florida State University. The museum is open for visits for extended hours on the Friday of Family Weekend.

Paint-A-Pot

The Student Union Art Center's Paint-A-Pot program is a popular pastime that anyone can enjoy. Choose from a variety of pre-made ceramic pieces starting at just $1. Paint your piece, return it to be fired and come back to pick it up. No pre-registration needed, stop in and create something great today!

Paint-A-Pot pricing includes glaze, clear coat firing, unlimited paint time, and relaxing space for a fun experience for all ages and artistic abilities. Ask our staff for tips and tricks if you need a little extra inspiration, they’re always willing to help.

The College of Business welcomes visiting families with guided walking tours of the college by Student Leadership Council members. The tours will be offered in 15-minute increments starting at 2:30 and ending at 3:30 p.m. Open to all business students' families and guests. Welcome Reception for Out-of-State Families (Free)

A reception for families joining us from beyond Florida, celebrating the energy out-of-state students bring to our FSU community. Join us for a special welcome from the Joe O’Shea (Dean of Undergraduate Studies), mingle with our out-of-state student ambassadors and other families, and grab your "Noles Everywhere" giveaways. This event is free of charge.

Want to see some of the hottest spots on campus and get insight into what your student experiences everyday? Join New Student and Family Programs for a brief, guided tour around campus. The tours will begin at 4 p.m. and will leave every 30 minutes from Landis Green with the last tour leaving at 5 p.m.

How to Help Your New 'Nole Succeed: Panel Discussion for Family Members (Free)

Whether your 'Nole is a first-year student or returning to campus, join this panel of FSU faculty and staff who are "FSU Parents" (just like you!) for advice about transition to college and getting the most out of the college experience. The panel will be facilitated by one of FSU’s most popular instructors, Mark Zeigler. Panelists are faculty and staff from Undergraduate Studies, Academic Affairs, and Student Affairs.

The College of Music presents a special concert celebrating the 90th birthday of composer John Williams.
