Combined Talents: A National Juried Exhibition & Identity in the Ottoman Empire

MoFA's annual juried exhibition is a showcase of contemporary art from across the country. This year's iteration was juried by Hallie Ringle, the Curator of Contemporary Art at the Birmingham Museum of Art. The exhibition features 39 artists, from 24 states, working in a wide range of media, styles and subject matter. Combined Talents will be on display from August 19-September 28, 2019. There will be an evening reception on Friday, August 30 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and we hope you will join us!

The Museum is pleased to announce new hours: Monday-Friday 10:00 to 5:00 p.m. Beginning with the Fall semester, we will have extended hours on Thursdays until 8:00 p.m., and Saturday hours from 10:00 to 4:00 p.m. The Museum will be closed on Sundays. Admission is always FREE!

Join Special Collections & Archives at their latest exhibit "A Century of Mystery and Intrigue." Guest curated by young scholar, Joseph, age 12, this exhibit explores the mystery and detective genres through fiction, cinema, comics, and scrapbooks. Visitors are encouraged to participate in the Special Collections Exhibit Room Mystery, take pictures at the photo booth, and enjoy a short video presentation.

Please join us at 1851 and enjoy a delicious BBQ dinner. There will be chicken with Southern BBQ sauce (served on the side), slow roasted pork with citrus and garlic and slider rolls. Dinner will be accompanied by sautéed green beans with caramelized onions, squash, zucchini and bell peppers, mac and cheese, along with a spring salad. For dessert, our options will be citrus pound cake, white chocolate mousse trifle and blueberries. Dinner is served in a buffet style. Vegan and vegetarian options are available upon request.
